Any vote unlocks your free sponge trio. Vote on one question or all five. The sponge trio will be added to your cart automatically after you enter your name and email.

We’re committed to the outcome. To hit our launch timeline, we had to start building some of these decisions (including the shelf). If the community lands somewhere different, we’ll remake the shelf.

What color should our shelf be?

Charcoal is a classic rēphr brand color, but our brushes are all black, so they risk blending in. Natural Oak gives strong contrast so the brushes stand out, and leans into our Japanese craftsmanship.

Which packaging do you like for our brushes?

Our packaging needs to work on a Sephora shelf. Washi Sleeve is open air, so customers can see and feel the brush before buying. It’s also lighter, more minimal, and less waste. Box w/ Ribbon is fully sealed, with better shelf presence and a nicer gifting moment.

Which display shelf design do you like better?

Sephora calls these “endcaps”. These shelves sit at the end of the main aisles (gondolas) that house big brands like Rare Beauty, Hung Vanngo, and Merit. Design A fits our full collection. Design B trades a little shelf space for a bigger logo, room for a brand mark, and a blank area where we can place a hero image.

This one’s purely aesthetic. Vertical Ribbon is cleaner and more modern. Horizontal Ribbon wraps the traditional Japanese way, a little softer and more gift-like.

Brushes standing or leaning?

Standing lets customers touch the bristles easily, but makes shopping the stock behind it harder. Leaning makes it harder to feel bristles, but the brush shapes are easier to see without bending down, and our integrated shelf lighting hits them better.
