"The shape is great for face contours, but I could not get it to blend on its own. I would go in with another foundation brush or a beauty blender to remove the streaks."

Jess G. — August 27, 2026

Maria e P. — August 18, 2026
"It’s like the method of apply your base with a spatula but brush version."
Laura G. — August 18, 2026
"I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed the Rephr Spatulat Foundation Brush. It provided a beautiful finish on the skin using half of the foundation or skin tint used with my other brushes. I took off a little for the fact that the metal corners that hold in the bristles are awkward and can make streaks in the application. But it's a beautiful brush if you can hold it properly. If they fix that, it might be my perfect foundation brush!"
Katharine B. — August 17, 2026
"Good for sheer foundation coverage, not ideal for medium to full coverage applications."
Tiffanie L. — August 13, 2026

Derek G. — August 10, 2026
"The Spatula Foundation Brush allowed me to achieve a very thin application, which is what I'm always striving for. With other brushes, I still find myself using a tissue to remove excess product--not so with the spatula brush! It produced a nice, even, thin coat of foundation. I was amazed!"

Mayce D. — August 7, 2026
"If you like light thin formulas give this brush a try"
Dana C. — August 7, 2026
"There is a definite learning curve with this one. Though the inclination is to drag foundation across the face, that caused consistent streaking for me. When I used a pat/pull technique, it worked much better. If you use with a skin tint or thinner foundation, you'll love it! If you use with an average type of foundation (Armani, Dior Forever line, Tom Ford, Laura Mercier, etc.), be prepared to go over application with a damp Beauty Blender. You will LOVE this brush for getting a very clean, crisp concealer line against outer eye corner shadow and for applying the perfect nose contour."

"It’s like a delicate paintbrush for applying foundation. If one has the time to sit and play/ paint, then this is the brush for it. However, if one needs to apply foundation quickly, this would not be suitable for that need."
Marian T. — August 1, 2026

"It spreads the formulas but then you need to go over it with a foundation brush to blend. It needs frequent washing as once it’s used it’s more streaky"
Katherine B. — July 9, 2026
"E’ sicuramente un pennello innovativo, ma non è immediato nell’utilizzo che richiede una buona manualità e un po’ più di tempo. É abbastanza efficace per la stesura dei fondotinta fluidi, tuttavia richiede alla fine un passaggio anche con un pennello più morbido con setole molto fitte per una stesura perfetta del prodotto."
Nadia C. — July 9, 2026
"Unfortunately I’d say it’s a limited use brush for chiseling contour but not best for covering large surface area with lightweight foundations"

"It blends streaklessfree but it’s not so easy for blending into smaller areas."
Eileen P. — July 8, 2026

Eleonora C. — July 8, 2026

Product FAQ+−
can i use this as my only foundation brush or do i need something else to blend?
about 25% of community members report using a sponge, puff, or dense brush afterward to smooth out any visible lines. the spatula foundation brush excels at laying down a controlled, thin layer of product, but many find that a quick pass with a second tool gives the most seamless result. some community members with skin tints or very fluid formulas do use it on its own with good results.
does this work with all types of foundation or just thin ones?
community members have had success with a wide range of formulas, from serum foundations to full-coverage liquids and even cream products. about 60% of community members find it works especially well with lighter, more fluid textures. thicker formulas can work too, but may require a bit more technique and blending afterward.
will this help me use less foundation?
yes, this is one of the most frequently praised qualities. roughly 40% of community members specifically mention using noticeably less product because the spatula foundation brush spreads such a thin, even layer. many describe getting the same or better coverage with a fraction of the foundation they normally use.
how do i get a streak-free finish with this brush?
community members recommend using light pressure, working in multiple directions rather than one long stroke, and keeping the brush nearly parallel to the face. around 15% suggest finishing with a damp sponge or patting with fingers to soften any visible lines. thinner, more fluid formulas tend to give the smoothest results straight from the brush.
can i use this for anything other than foundation?
quite a few community members have found creative uses beyond foundation. around 12% use it for precise contour placement along the cheekbones, jawline, and nose. others mention applying primers, skincare products, face masks, and even cream blush. the flat shape and firm bristles make it a versatile tool for any product that benefits from thin, controlled application.
